FAQ
The most common questions about the platform, our services and how booking works.
Are your services the same as psychotherapy?
No. Ours are coaching and developmental consulting services, not mental-health or medical services. We work with healthy individuals who want to improve their performance, reach their goals, or get past specific developmental challenges. If you are experiencing depressive symptoms, clinical anxiety, untreated psychological trauma, or any mental-health condition, we recommend consulting a licensed health professional first.
What does holistic development do for raising my children?
Holistic development grows every side of a child’s character in balance, which completes their healthy maturing. In an environment that respects their needs, their confidence grows with awareness and responsibility, and they learn problem-solving, critical thinking, effective communication and cooperation — gaining social resilience and the ability to build healthy relationships. It also plants human and ethical values in practice, inside the family and the community, strengthening their success, their performance, their balance and their sense of belonging.
How does holistic development relate to positive parenting?
The relationship between holistic development and positive parenting is a complementary one. The first grows every side of the child (emotionally, socially, mentally, physically); the second treats them as a whole person, with respect, support and gentleness — taking in their feelings and needs, and turning behavioural challenges into chances to learn, through effective communication, emotional support and wise behavioural guidance. That builds confidence, independence and emotional intelligence, so the child grows up balanced and secure in themselves, and steps into life strong and steady.
How does understanding a child’s character help us raise them well?
Understanding a child’s character lets parents raise them according to their own unique needs — growing their strengths and turning their weaknesses into room to grow, without comparison or conflict, and without imposing the parents’ wishes, while respecting their feelings and individual traits. This is the foundation of a holistic and positive upbringing: one that honours a child’s feelings and supports their emotional balance, so they grow in a safe and loving environment that nurtures their stability for the future.

What is life competence?
Life competence is the set of cognitive, emotional and social skills that enable a person to manage themselves and their feelings, solve problems, make decisions, build healthy relationships, adapt to the changes life brings, and come through crises and challenges successfully — while holding a balance between their own needs and what their community asks of them, so that their life carries real productivity and real meaning, and their human values stay intact.
What is the difference between holistic and sustainable development in parenting?
Holistic development answers the question: (What are we growing?) — it is concerned with growing every side of the child in balance: the emotional, the physical, the cognitive and the social. Sustainable development answers a different question: (How does the effect last?) — it settles skills and values until they become self-driven motives that carry through life, with a flexibility in parenting methods that adapts to the child’s stages of growth. The two are closely tied, each completing the other: holism makes growth whole, and sustainability makes its effect endure. Positive parenting — built on dialogue and respect — achieves both together, without exhausting the parents, so the child emerges whole and balanced, and grows into a capable, well-grounded adult.
How does sustainable development relate to Qatar National Vision 2030?
The Children of Life platform, in its vision and its spirit, aligns almost entirely with Qatar National Vision 2030, and reflects that vision’s four main pillars clearly: human development, social development, economic development and environmental development. In the human dimension, the platform grows a child’s character across seven areas, respecting what is singular in every child’s abilities and skills and driving their own momentum toward growth. In the social dimension, it settles the values of good citizenship, strengthens constructive engagement with the community, and encourages working together. Economically, it prepares young people who hold the tools to meet the challenges of the present and the future, so that they become effective and productive human capital. And within the environment, the platform aims to form an aware generation, able to engage in a balanced way with the changes of the age, in step with what environmental sustainability requires.
